Tale 1.03.5 - Poem of The Dragonkiller

 POEM OF THE DRAGONKILLER

Fur of pale yellow, like a baby sun

Necklace on her neck, symbol of honor

Guarded by the crocodile, dinosaur and brain

The death of The Dragonkiller was not one in vain.

 -

A crossbow on by her side, she sang her tunes

Stories of valor, and vigor, and strife

But when the dragon came, and killed all our men

Who else but her would come to save them?

 -

By the hands of those claws, her friends met with death

All except one, who gripped to the edge

Her hope had waned into a grieving teardrop, they say

But her love for that crocodile made her shine with the day.

-

On, righteous phoenix, to the dragon's lair!

Fire coats you, as if you were one with it

Your wrath, your love, your hate and your courage

Gives us a reason for this final homage.

 -

You fell that dark night, blood soaking the walls

But the dragon was slain, and we were given peace

But you, dear Dragonkiller, who sang your last song

Called for your beloveds name, hoping that he'd live on.
